This device offers improved Wi-Fi range and reception compared to standard range Wi-Fi products like internal laptop cards (detecting up to twice as many networks at up to four times the speed). As the BearExtender PC contains both a transmitter and a receiver, an internal Wi-Fi card is not required to use it. To get this device going on your computer, you need only install the software from the CD-ROM, plug in the USB cable and turn off your built-in Wi-Fi, and then select your Wi-Fi networks from the list. Wireless 802.11n, 802.11g and 802.11b compatibility are also built in, allowing you networking capability. The BearExtender comes with an LCD clip, which allows you to gently attach this device to your laptop.
