In addition to bridging multiple wired devices onto an existing wireless network, it can also be used as with a wired LAN as an Access Point to create a draft 802.11n wireless network on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands. The former band is backward compatible with existing, legacy 802.11g wireless products, and the more interference-free latter band is optimized for HD media streaming.
