D-Link DCS-5220

The D-Link DCS-5220 is a wireless pan/tilt network camera designed specially for 3G mobile phones or PDAs. After users connect to the net with their 3G device, they can monitor the unit’s video feed without relying on an Internet connection.

As for the camera, it relies on either 802.11b/g or standard Ethernet connectivity (Internet required on its end) and it’s capable of capture VGA-quality video in addition to 16kbps~128kbps AAC Audio. Featured also is a .5 Lux CMOS Sensor for low-light conditions, a 4x digital zoom to zero-in on a subject, and MPEG-4 video compression. The D-Link DCS-5220 also offers advanced management options (e-mail alerts, motion trigger, etc.), but access to these requires a PC.
