As for the camera, it relies on either 802.11b/g or standard Ethernet connectivity (Internet required on its end) and it’s capable of capture VGA-quality video in addition to 16kbps~128kbps AAC Audio. Featured also is a .5 Lux CMOS Sensor for low-light conditions, a 4x digital zoom to zero-in on a subject, and MPEG-4 video compression. The D-Link DCS-5220 also offers advanced management options (e-mail alerts, motion trigger, etc.), but access to these requires a PC.
