Like the starter kit, each expansion camera relies on Powerline connectivity, which means it can be placed anywhere in one’s home, so long as a power outlet is present.

With the starter kit, users can access and view the feed of up to 4 DHA-310 cameras at once, or share access with other users subscribed to D-Life—a bundled service that allows users to access snapshots from the D-Life server. Additional features include a microphone for listening as well as watching, support for e-mail notifications of motion-triggered events, and low-light sensitivity.
