D-Link PowerLine AV 500 DHP-501AV

The D-Link PowerLine AV 500 DHP-501AV is a Powerline kit for high-bandwidth network devices like blu-ray players, gaming consoles, etc. It features two PowerLine AV 500 (DHP-500AV) adapters that rely on traditional electrical wiring to provide wired network connectivity up to 500Mbps, which is half the speed of Gigabit LAN.

Featured is plug & play installation for quickly establishing a connection, support for one-button 128-bit AES encryption, and integrated QoS for automatic prioritization of network bandwidth. Note that the D-Link PowerLine AV 500 DHP-501AV is backwards compatible with previous generation Homeplug AV adapters. Keep in mind however that the throughput of 500Mbps can only be obtained with two DHP-500AV adapters.
