D-Link WUA-2340

The D-Link WUA-1340 is a RangeBooster G wireless USB adapter built as a slight improvement over the original WUA-1340. It too transmits between 2.4 and 2.46 gigahertz, but it ups the ante to offer better quality reception and a slightly increased transmission range.

Unfortunately, it also inherits its predecessor’s lousy casing, composed strictly from cheap plastic. Included is 802.11b/g compatibility, integrated WEP/WPA security encryption, and a quick plug-n-play installation process with the included Setup Wizard. As is evident, the unit is not at all compatible with the more recent Draft N standard.
