This device is best suited for small and growing business networks. Compared to 2008’s Netgear’s ProSafe FSM726, the newer FSM726-300 has a more Layer 2 services geared towards more complicated network configurations. Those who do not need advanced VLAN and STP features should refer to the FSM726 model. A wide range of Layer 2 VLAN features are supported by this device. Administrators can configure up to 512 static VLANs, protocol VLAN & port VLAN, Voice VLAN and IP subnet-based VLAN. The Netgear ProSafe FSM726-300 can be accessed securely through a web interface or through the command line via SSH.
