Optional fiber adapters are compatible with this switch for uplink connectivity to a greater network backbone. Compared to the ProSafe FSM7328PS, this model lacks PoE (Power over Ethernet) support. According to Netgear, this switch is best suited for routing data between VLANs and network segments. Other managed Layer 3 services include port-based routing, RIP v1/v2, Access Control Lists, DNS caching and QoS control on all 10/100 interfaces. The ProSafe FSM7328S can be stacked up to eight times via the front-facing Gigabit Ethernet ports. The Netgear ProSafe FSM7328S can be accessed securely through a web interface or through an SSH command line.
