The Netgear ProSafe GS116 is a 16-port Gigabit switch that provides full, dedicated 1000Mbps connections for quickly moving large files across a network. It utilizes auto-switching Ethernet technology to seamlessly integrate 10BASE-T Ethernet, 100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet, and 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet devices without sacrificing performance.

Plus each port supports the full duplex standard, allowing transactions up to 2000Mbps per port. In addition, the GS116 includes AutoUplink technology that automatically makes proper adjustments for different types of networking cabling. Additional features include support for Layer 2 802.1p and Layer 3 DSCP traffic priority tags; plug-n-play compatibility with Windows, Macintosh, Unix and Linux operating systems; and wall mountability.
