The Pros:Runs energy efficient, doesn't use a lot of power to operate. Feature-rich enough that it accounts for most special cases. QoS ensures that multiple streams run consistently without conflicts.
The Cons:Can only do rate limiting on all the ports at once. Can't manage it through a web browser, need to install applications. No way to tell the duplex of any port on the switch.
The Netgear ProSafe JFS524E is a 10/100 network switch for office environments where users tend to use a lot of bandwidth. It has 24 ports and is rack mountable for larger networks, and can handle Virtual LANs if you want to segment your network into pieces.

The ports can handle 200Mbps each at full duplex, but QoS prioritizing can balance out the demands of each port to prevent congestion.
The JFS524E can let you monitor traffic in general, and also help you test cables individually when troubleshooting a problem. This unit uses 63% less power than previous models.
