One adapter connects to a router connected to a broadband modem. The other plugs in anywhere in the house and features four Ethernet ports for connecting any Ethernet-equipped devices such as PCs, laptops, TiVos or gaming consoles. Using the network, connected devices can then share internet, printers, storage, or transfer documents at 85 mbps with data encryption for security. The adapters support HomePlug 1.0 and are compatible with Windows Vista. Besides the two adapters, the XEB1004 Kit includes a 1 year warranty, installation guide, setup CD, warranty card and support and information card.
