This adapter uses the HD-PLC standard, supporting multiple applications such as VoIP, audio and video distribution, and data communications. The maximum throughput over the network is 190 Mbps, although more typically a standard UDP connection will get up to 70 Mbps. It is recommended that no more than 16 adapters be used on any one network, although users can connect a hub to any adapter enabling up to 8 standard 10/100 Ethernet connections.
