Each of the 8 included ports support Auto-Negotiation, meaning the switch can automatically determine the most compatible transmission parameters of other connected networking devices. Features include Layer 2 software management, allowing for network administrators to perform SNMP and IGMP tasks for multimedia applications such as online video streaming. Administrators can also manage individual ports by status, or implement link aggregation (“trunking”) for flexible load distribution or fail-safe redundancy purposes. The TE100-S810Fi can be configured via RS-232 console port, telnet, and any HTTP web browser. The device’s firmware can upgraded with a standard web browser, similar to many consumer level networking products.
