When stacked, 8 individual TEG-S2620is switches can be used simultaneously. Layer 2 management features include 802.1X authentication, SNMP v1 and Rapid Spanning Tree support. Administrators can also manage individual ports by status, or implement link aggregation (“trunking”) for flexible load distribution or fail-safe redundancy purposes. These features are especially useful for optimizing multimedia applications such as online video streaming. The TEG-S2620is can be configured via HyperTerminal, telnet, SNMP and any HTTP web browser. The device’s firmware can upgraded with a standard web browser, similar to many consumer level networking products. This switch will fit in a 19” (1U) rack mounting system, and comes with the required hardware.
